Selline mure, et ei saa kuidagi ATI drivereid tööle. Proovinud olen ATI kodukalt tõmmatud linuxi drivereid installida, kui ka kasutada Linux Minti enda mingit Envyngd.
Kui proovisin paigaldada ATI kodukalt saadud drivereid siis sain järgmise tulemuse:

Kasutan siis üsna äsja installitud Linux Mint 5 te.
Kuidas need driverid siis ikkagi peale saada?
Googeldasin ka väheke, aga midagi enda jaoks arusaadavat ei leidnud, suht algaja veel linuxi maastikul. Loodan, et saan siit abi.

Envyng on seni üsna võimekas olnud.
Proovi ehk mitteautomaatset valikut s.t. manuaalselt draiver valida.
Ja kui see ei mõika, siis otsi fglrx pakke otse Universe repost läbi oma pakihalduri.
Ei ole ise Minti proovinud. Endal on Ubuntu 8.04.02 masin.
Mint foorumis on ka välja pakutud, et osad kasutavad mitte fglrx draiverit vaid ati draiverit.

| Radeon 9000 ei ole enam ammu ATI poolt toetatud. Kasuta avatud koodiga draiverit. xorg.conf failis määra Driver "ati" või Driver "radeon"

Tundub, et osale probleemist sain lahenduse tänu kasutajale KERBER, sain graafika nagu tööle väljendub siis selles et 3d töötab.
Järgmine jama on see et kõik töötab aeglaselt suht naljakas on aga see et Compiz töötas mul vana raali peal PCLinux OSi all ilusti ka märksa sitemate näitajatega, vana raal oli P4 1,8Ghz, ATI radeon 7500, 512mb ram, nüüd on Pentium M 1,8 Ghz, ATI radeon 9000, 1Gb rami. Kuidas seda süsteemi kiiremaks saada oskab ka keegi äkki midagi öelda?

Minu kogemuste kohaselt on Compiz igavene tüütus.
Kogu ise ka kogemusi ja siis väljenda oma arvamust.
Küll aga pean paraku ära mainima, et sinu arvuti graafikakaart on suht - koht nõrk, et seda 3D "vuuduud" teha.
Selles vast kogu mure pesitsebki ?

| Sadiini, kahtlen et asi on ainult mu graafika kaardis, sest isegi mudel nõrgema kaardiga töötas mul varem PC Linux OSis kõik "vuuduu" kenasti.
