toksi käsureale sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf ja litsu enterit. siis leia avanevast failist üles sektsioon "Monitor" ja kui seal on read horizontal sync ja vertical sync mingite väärtustega, siis sisesta nende väärtuste asemele oma monitori vastavad vahemikud. pärast salvestamist ja restarti vaata arvuti-eelistused-ekraani eraldusvõime... nii oli ubuntu ja nec fe700ga mul...
edu seadisamisel!

Järgnevalt pead valima graafikakaardile sobiva draiveri. Inteli integreeritud graafikale sobib i810. Kui kasutad mingit muud kaarti siis pead vastava draiveri valima.
Vali kasutatavad resolutsioonid. Vaikimisi Ubuntu valib alati kõige kõrgema lubatud resolutsiooniga seadistuse. Mõistlik oleks jätta kõrgemaiks "1024x768".
Ctrl+Alt+Backspace taaskäivitab x serveri ja resoga peaks kõik korras olema.

Nüüd tuleks otse käsureale buutida. Selleks pead leidma GRUB'i menüüst rea
"Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.xxxxx (recovery mode)" ja seal enterit litsuma.
Käsuviibani jõudes kirjuta uuesti käsk "dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg " ja vali draiveriks "via" .
Juhul kui ikka toimima ei hakka võib proovida via unichrome draiverit.
apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-unichrome
Kui pärast seda ikka graafilist pilti ette ei tule, toimi järgnevalt
Algkäivita "recovery mode'i"

| see küll veidi rumal küsimus ja OT ka , aga mis siis monitori ref'i määrab. varem kui ubuntul eelistused -> eraldusvõime alt midagi määrata ei saanud siis oli xorg.confis see võimalik paika panna. ja ka ->eraldusvõime all oli kirjas et näiteks 1024x768 ja 85 hz . aga praegu (feisty) käis kuidagi automaagiliselt, lubas valida menüüst, xorg.confist midagi seada ei saa tõesti ja logini screenil on ikka reso paigast ära. sry kui mõni selline teema juba siin oli..
